This piece is inspired by the Scottish countryside and my life-long love for the winter and snow, which is ironic as I am quite sensitive to the cold.
The snow has always brought upon a feeling of nostalgia and calmness in me. Everytime it starts snowing, it seems like it gets quieter outisde, and I love watching the snowflakes slowly make their way down to the ground, building up until one singular snowflake turns into a white sheet upon the ground.
Snow is also quite a special occasion where I live. The north of Scotland can get quite a bit of snow, but growing up in Edinburgh and now residing in Glasgow, we don't usually get more than a few centimetres off the ground. I find the rarity of seeing the snow makes it just that much more special to me, as I appreciate it so much.
