Acrylic on Hand-Stretched Thick Canvas 31cm x 42cm 8th January 2021, when I was just 14, I took a picture of this tree in the depth of Scottish winter. It was a unique winter, as we got quite a bit of heavy snow, which is unusual for Edinburgh. Over 5 years later, 9th October 2026, I was feeling inspired by the sudden cold weather and wanted to paint snow. I discovered this photo in my camera roll and this is the result. The addition of the fox was definitely influenced by my new home here in Glasgow. There are many squirrels in my backgarden and I often see foxes through my bedroom window, preying upon them. This winter scene is the start of my Winter 2026/2027 collection, which I expect to grow quite rapidly.
