Acrylic on Hand Stretched Canvas

50cm x 40cm

This painting is full of thick, buttery strokes of acrylic paint, with the paint strokes visible as they curve out of the canvas. The butterfly is detailed with a smaller brush, and the flowers are slightly blurred, creating the effect of the background being out of focus.

My goal with this piece was to make it full yet balanced, and to work with large contrasts of colours and light.
